The ELBA ? ETH E-learning Toolkit is aimed at university teachers who have not yet used e-learning elements in their teaching. Reasons for this may be a lack of time to get acquainted with new software or a lack of knowledge about such elements. By preparing a range of simple user-friendly e-learning tools that can be instantly used in teaching, ELBA helps to overcome those limiting factors. The aim of ELBA is to motivate ETH teaching staff to use simple e-learning tools that do not require a major additional effort from their part. A pedagogically meaningful use of these tools can help to improve the quality of the education.

ELBA offers
?a homepage where simple e-learning tools are presented and ready for use
?support for and hosting of selected applications
?introductory events (lunch-time seminars) and a course in the ?didactica? program (planned)
?pedagical and technical consulting and coaching

The ELBA applications include:
?notice board/discussion forum
?Wiki web-based collaboration tool
?survey tool
?quiz tool
?concept-/mind-mapping tool
?web publishing tool
