Start of Beta Test of PolyPhone
ETH World 2000-2005
The ETH World program came to an end in 2005. This website is no longer updated and contains archival information about the activities.
The project PolyPhone aims to make available to the whole ETH Community (students and employees) telecommunication services integrating audio, video, instant messaging and presence. PolyPhone is the result of an exploration project started by ETH World. PolyPhone is a service provided by the computing services of the ETH Zurich (Informatikdienste). To the beta test will participate about 50 selected users. The service will be extended to the whole community by autumn 2005.
On June 16, 2005, PolyPhone will presented by Michele De Lorenzi at the forum "La telefonia su IP" organized by www.teach.it in Milan.
