Final report Project Neptun 2004/05 (in German)

The spring campaign of the project "Neptun – Laptops for Learning" was again an impressive success. A total of almost 4000 laptops were bought by students and staff at Swiss universities. With this round the four-year project phase of Neptun came to an end. From fall 2005 Neptun will be integrated as a service at ETH Zurich.

During the sales period ETH World organized a competition. To solve the competition task, participants had to install the web browser plugin developed in the project "3-D Web Content" and rotate a three-dimensional representation of a Neptun laptop. The solution was written on the screen: "Welcome Tomorrow", the motto of the 150th Anniversary of ETH Zurich.

In the prize draw the lucky winners were:
Marcel Baumgartner, who won the first prize, an iPod Mini.
The second prize, a 512 MB USB Flash Drive, went to Daniel Raoul Perez.
