The Filep project InkoPra (Interactive-Cooperative Learning Media in Pharmaceutical Practical Training) used the Vireal Lab, which has been developed within ETH World. Vireal Lab is a learning environment that facilitates interaction and cooperation in face-to-face learning groups through the use of "roomware" - large displays equipped with touchscreen technology. The first phase of using this environment caused severe technical, organisational and didactical difficulties. Still, the 52 students highly appreciated the teaching concept. In the second phase the pedagogical scenario was revised based on the early experiences. The use of the Vireal Lab was evaluated, focusing on both learning processes and results, and comparisons with a control ("traditional") group were made. The interaction analyses show small differences in task approaches and interaction types. Content and task leaders could be identified but no technical leaders.
