Projekttyp: Information Management
Keywords: Information systems, Image search

Information spaces with many interdependent multimedia information sources, such as ETH World, face two essential challenges:
? How can consistency in the information-flow from different sources be achieved?
? How can user-friendly and efficient search mechanisms be supported for finding the right information in such a huge, virtually integrated information space?
The project carries out a feasibility study and develops a demonstration prototype for a base technology, which will allow users to find structured information in ETH World.
First, the existing information infrastructure at ETH are explored and compared with infrastructures developed elsewhere. In the second phase, prototypes will be developed, which support users who need consistent and well-structured information.
