DEEDS, the new ?distance-education delivery? platform of the Center for Continuing Education, collects all e-learning products that have been released for publication at ETHZ and makes them accessible on the internet in a client-centered way. Lecturers get the opportunity to distribute their e-teaching materials rapidly all over the world. Thus, DEEDS contributes to the transfer of recent research results into practice.
In phase I, the e-teaching materials that are offered in a decentralized way today will be gathered and published systematically. In a second step, new services and closed learning environments with defined access rights will be added, in the direction of an online university. Issues related to standardization, modularization, quality assurance, intellectual property, data security and e-commerce will be clarified in cooperation with other Central Services and with actual content providers.

2002/06/01		IT-Konzept: Das Fachkonzept ist als IT-Konzept umgesetzt. Die Pflichtenhefte für die Evaluation der Middleware und die Erstellung der Datenbank und des WEB-Portals sind definiert.
2002/12/20		Umsetzung: Softwarepakete, Schnittstellen und Portal sind lizenziert, angepasst, getestet und funktionsbereit.
2003/03/30		Aufschaltung: Die verfügbaren E-Learning Programme sind auf dem Distance Education Delivery Portal aufgeschaltet. Die Dienstleistungen sind im definierten Funktionsumfang verfügbar und bei den verschiedenen Zielgruppen bekannt
